Role Description The English Second Language Tutor role at YouLearnt is a remote position focused on delivering live online English lessons to learners of varying proficiency levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting interactive lessons, assessing learner needs, and adapting instructional materials to different learning styles and goals. The tutor will use YouLearnt’s virtual classroom tools to manage scheduling, share content, administer quizzes, and provide feedback. Additional tasks include monitoring learner progress, maintaining clear communication with learners or institutions, and continuously improving teaching approaches based on performance and learner engagement.

Qualifications Strong English Teaching skills, including lesson planning and classroom management in an online environment. Experience in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, with the ability to support learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Proficiency in Online Tutoring and Tutoring, including using digital tools for live instruction and learner assessment. Demonstrated capability in Teaching across different age groups and proficiency levels, with a learner-centered approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with clear, neutral pronunciation. Comfort with educational technology, including video conferencing platforms and learning management tools. TEFL/TESOL or equivalent certification is highly beneficial; a degree in Education, Linguistics, English, or a related field is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage schedules effectively, and maintain a professional, inclusive learning environment.
