About the Role

The Production Supervisor is part of a team responsible for overseeing all site operations during off‑shift hours. This role is accountable for thesafety, quality, and efficiencyof production across Spreads, Process, Packaging, and Warehouse operations using the WCM operating framework.

You will lead hourly employees, manage shift performance, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. As a key off‑shift leader, you will be responsible for maintaining operational stability, resolving issues, and communicating effectively across teams.

What You'll Do

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and motivate hourly employees to achieve shift goals insafety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Provide full supervisory coverage for off shifts, including labor planning, scheduling, safety oversight, and behavior management.
  • Manage employee timecards, monitor attendance, and ensure appropriate staffing levels; initiate temporary labor needs with management and HR.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, legislative requirements, and plant safety rules.
  • Develop plans to meet plant targets, including 3+1 goals, yield improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain site productivity during off shifts by providing technical support, coordinating issue resolution, reallocating labor as necessary, and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Deliver required training for new hires and refresher/recertification training for shift employees (SHE, QA, Operations).
  • Track training compliance using POKA and CORE systems, including daily/weekly/monthly QA and safety signoffs.
  • Support cross‑training of employees to meet business needs across equipment and operational areas.
  • Communicate site goals, targets, KPIs, and updates from leadership to shift crews.
  • Manage fixed and variable cost expenditures within shift operations.
  • Support all quality and food safety programs, including HACCP and FSCC‑22000 compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and escalation of near misses, first aid cases, and safety concerns.
  • Reduce waste and support eco‑efficient practices by managing materials and hazardous waste responsibly.
  • Facilitate morning meetings to review performance (OEE, ZBW, schedule attainment, downtime codes) and plan proactively for operational needs.
  • Lead weekly shift COM meetings to communicate safety, quality, audit updates, and operational results.
  • Partner with department and CI managers to maintain AM methodology, equipment centerlines, and standard updates.

Problem Solving

  • Identify, prioritize, and address operational issues using problem‑solving tools to prevent recurrence.
  • Make effective decisions when confronting in‑process problems or deviations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) and implement process changes or updates as needed.
  • Manage diverse personalities and maintain a respectful, collaborative, and non‑confrontational work environment.

Teamwork & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work as part of a high‑performing team—supportive, communicative, and engaged in continuous improvement.
  • Communicate cross‑functionally with Warehouse, QA, Maintenance, Safety, and the Management Team.
  • Take ownership of the production area and collaborate with Maintenance to address equipment conditions, PMs, and work orders.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Warehouse teams to complete the daily production plan.

About You

You are an experienced leader with at least3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, bringing strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety programs, and high‑speed packaging operations. You have demonstrated success managing safety culture, partnering across functions, and working with key performance indicators such asOEE, ZBW, schedule attainment, and downtime analysis.

You communicate clearly in English, build strong relationships across teams, and can guide diverse groups while maintaining a respectful and collaborative work environment. You think critically, stay organized, and make effective decisions during off‑shift operations. You're comfortable working independently, resolving issues proactively, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You bring strong attention to detail, leadership and conflict‑management skills, and the ability to support large‑scale change activities. Above all, you are safety‑focused, people‑oriented, and committed to delivering consistent operational performance.
