Position Purpose

The Sr. Analyst, Pro Operations leverages strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support initiatives that strengthen and sustain the Pro ecosystem. This role delivers insights and data-driven recommendations that enhance associate experience and drive sales performance. Working cross-functionally, the Sr. Analyst owns defined components of larger initiatives, applies sound judgment and financial acumen, and effectively communicates findings to support business priorities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Analytics will comprise approximately 40% of the Sr. Analyst responsibilities:

 Data extraction of sales, customer purchasing behaviors, and order data at the SKU level and across various time horizons.
 Completing pre and post financial analysis to measure success of Pro Operation initiatives.
 Creating and maintaining weekly or ad hoc reporting to be used by field partners
 Developing dashboards to reduce dependency on push reports.

  • Effective communication will comprise approximately 30% of the Sr. Analyst responsibilities:

 Results of their analysis will be presented to project and operations leaders, to stakeholders from merchandising and store operations, and external stakeholders such as vendors, and to senior leadership in the context of project or operations updates
 Establish and maintain communication channels with team members, management, appropriate business unit/s etc.
 Create clear and accurate documents and presentations and present and deliver to a wide variety of stakeholders
 Develop and report on KPIs related to Pro Operation initiatives

  • Business acumen will comprise approximately 30% of the Sr. Analyst responsibilities

 Develop and execute ongoing continuous improvement of Pro Operations initiatives
 Employ project management techniques on various strategic and tactical projects, ensuring project deliverables are met or exceeded
 Incorporate industry best practices, including learning from THD US Pro Operations team
 Solicit feedback from internal stakeholder group to support decision making
 Ad-hoc projects/assignments as required
 Troubleshoot and problem solve for ongoing operational needs as they arise

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

  • Engineering, Mathematics, Business or other related post-secondary degree

  • 4+ years of analytics experience preferably in retail

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with SQL, Tableau, Google BigQuery, PowerBI

  • Ability to develop and apply financial business cases and draw accurate conclusions from data to present to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Experience leading multi-functional projects or initiatives

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
