First District Mechanical is a fast-growing Commercial HVAC & Plumbing Service Contractor located in Port Coquitlam that focuses heavily on proactive service, analytics, and high-value customer support. We service commercial, strata, retail and institutional buildings across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

We are building a dedicated Plumbing Field Estimation role to support our growth.

Role Purpose

The Service Plumbing Field Estimator will be responsible for identifying plumbing service opportunities on site, building estimates, and helping customers make fast decisions to complete the work. This is not an installer or tools-on Technician position. This is a technical sales / estimating hybrid role from the field.

You will go building to building, identify issues, quote them, get approvals, and help customers stay ahead of reactive failures.

What You’ll Do

• Perform site visits at commercial buildings to identify plumbing service opportunities

• Scope and estimate service repair work such as:

  • Drain cleans
  • Boiler service & repair
  • Pump service & rebuilds
  • Pipe insulation upgrades / repairs
  • Sump pump repair & replacements
  • Domestic water heater repairs
  • General service plumbing items

• Build and send estimates directly to customers

• Follow up on open estimates and convert approvals

• Handle incoming plumbing service estimate requests from customers

• Communicate clearly and professionally with Building Managers, Strata Councils, and Property Managers

• Document site findings, pictures, recommendations, and parts lists in our field service software system

• Use our quoting platform and CRM to track pipeline and close %, comfortably navigate Microsoft 365 tools

What You Bring

• Red Seal Journeyman Plumber (preferred/strong preference)

• Valid BC driver’s license

• Strong communication & customer interaction experience

• Ability to explain options clearly in non-technical language to customers

• Experience in commercial and strata plumbing service is a major advantage

• Motivated to drive revenue and close work – not just identify problems

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 / year

• Incentive: Paid on closed service repairs generated by you
