Pay Range: $90,000 - $125,000 At The Home Depot Canada, we want you to feel valued and supported. The pay range you see represents base salary only. Position Purpose The National Account Manager is a sales professional who is responsible for implementation of strategies and relationships with large strategic customers that utilize The Home Depot at a national level. This role manages national customers that have business based in the NAM's region. This position has the ability to identify current buying cycles as well as future buying opportunities in an effort to show year over year portfolio growth. The NAM should have the ability to develop relationships and create a large support network within the organization. Communication with executive leadership of large corporations with a multi-state footprint is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • 40% Drive Sales: Schedule and complete sales calls with portfolio customers to drive sales growth and solution implementation. Educate customers on the services and products offered by The Home Depot. Address customer issue's and queries in a timely manner.
  • 25% Build Network: Establish strategic relationships, demonstrate strong customer service and effective management of portfolio accounts.
  • 25% Collaborates: Work with Senior Manager National Account and Senior Manager Outside Sales on lead development, account management and category sales drivers.
  • 10% Coaching: Conduct coaching and training of CAMs on pro processes for association account programs

Travel Requirements

  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions

  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in business

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional work experience
  • 2 years account management/sales management experience
  • 2 plus years home improvement or home building industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Knowledge of CRM tools
  • Outside Sales experience
  • Ability to implement sales strategies and create effective sales presentations

Minimum Education

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
