Communications Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but mighty team who supports a growing Canadian aerospace manufacturing company. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded communications generalist with a love of writing and passion for storytelling. You thrive in a high paced, hectic, dynamic environment and demonstrate agility and the ability to respond easily to shifting priorities.
As the Communications Coordinator, you will play a key role in helping to build De Havilland Canada’s story, brand and reputation, internally and externally. You will be called upon to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of company-wide communication and connect employees to the company culture through engaging content and employee events.
You will be a seasoned communications professional, a natural self-starter and experienced in delivering the needs of a customer-focused business. The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized and a natural relationship-builder, an exceptional writer and communicator across diverse platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create and contribute compelling written content to internal communication channels including the De Havilland Canada’s Intranet
- Provide communications consultation on company-wide initiatives while building and maintaining relationships with internal clients
- Plan and execute communications plans for various departmental and company-wide projects
- Support in-person and virtual events, such as town halls
- Understand the company's brand and apply branding to all communication products.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of overall communications, engagement and community investment strategies
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, public relations or a related field
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in corporate communications-internal communications preferred
- Experience acting as a consultant to internal client groups and a track record as a trusted communications advisor
- Exceptional communications skills, including planning, research, writing, editing and measurement
- Strong writing abilities (both print and web), including key message development and speech writing
- Strong project and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office365applications -experience with Adobe creative software such as lnDesignor Photoshop is considered an asset.
