Step into a leadership role and shape the conversation. WSA is seeking a strategic and driven professional to lead the Communications unit as Manager of Communications.

You guide and mentor a dedicated team of communications professionals, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality messaging and exceptional client service. You will play a major role in the execution of WSA Brand and Public Trust Strategies by developing marketing plans to enhance brand recognition, strengthen public trust and increase program awareness.

You will oversee the creation and implementation of communication plans and materials in collaboration with clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with professional standards. The role also includes managing both proactive and reactive communications to safeguard and strengthen WSA’s corporate reputation, including leading responses to emerging issues and representing the organization on key committees.

Additionally, you will monitor corporate reputation and leverage innovative digital channels to build client and stakeholder relationships, while working closely with divisions to identify, escalate and address strategic issues in a way that reinforces the agency’s credibility and public confidence.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Business Communications or a related discipline with 7-9 years of directly related experience.

A professional designation or membership with the International Association of Business Communicators or the Canadian Public Relations Society is preferred. Knowledge and understanding of government processes and approvals are considered strong assets.
