As a Mechanical Maintenance Planner you will establish, maintain, and support continuous improvement of the maintenance planning process. Your goal will be to execute planning activities, provide direction and alignment to resource plans, and mitigate risks to ensure maintenance timelines are met. Your Responsibilities
Develop detailed work packages, using package development software, in cooperation with engineering and materials coordinator Work with Planners, Field Coordinators or Maintenance Field Performance Specialists to enter resource loaded tasks into our scheduling tool and optimize logic and resources through a resource leveling and critical path method analysis Monitor and manage contract services to assist the execution team lead and procurement ensuring the services are being executed as expected Develop short-term and assist in the development of long-term detailed work plans, schedules and packages for execution by our contractors Mentor junior Planners to aid in their development and further their understanding as a scheduler and/or specialty planner Collect and update information related to the construction and maintenance schedule Develop schedules, logic, optimizes and exports data from scheduling tool to MS Excel for the purposes of additional analysis with project controls Collaborate with a Lead Planner to develop other analytics as required by management or project controls team Perform field audits as required to ensure field conditions are aligned to engineering drawings Develop resource histogram forecasts on a weekly basis
Your Skills
Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience dealing with multiple priorities with a proven ability to meet hard deadlines Strong attention to detail Good collaboration skills and positive attitude; able to shift priorities quickly Continuous improvement mindset Strong organization and time management skills Ability to work flexible hours when required
Your Experience
5+ years’ experience with 3+ years working in an Industrial Environment Post-secondary education or equivalent with practical experience Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and specifications Experience as any building trades journeyman, refinery operations or supervision in an industrial environment Education: Red Seal Journeyperson is an asset Experience planning and scheduling in Primavera P6 is an asset Experience with MS Project, Navisworks and MS Visio is an asset Experience with Adobe Pro is an asset Proficiency with all MS Office applications
