Role Description We are seeking an Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist to join our Capital Planning team in our Dundas office. In this role, you will support reserve fund studies, performance audits, and property condition assessments for existing buildings. Responsibilities include conducting on-site building assessments, evaluating the condition and remaining service life of building components, and preparing clear, well-supported capital plans that help clients make informed long-term asset management decisions.
KEY RESULT AREAS FOR THIS ROLE Capital Planning: Compiling RFS, PCA, and PA reports, Complete and oversee Site Review, Component and Calculation review, Manage projects at the highest standard of quality from proposal to completion, Thorough understanding of building drawings and specifications, Expected to enforce black and white interpretation of specifications during conciliation periods, Understands site conditions and can identify required restoration assessments or projects, Experience interpreting condominium documents such as Declarations, By-Laws, Shared Agreements and legal survey drawings, Effectively manage team resources while adhering to the project budget and schedule targets, Understanding of the Ontario Building Code, local Property Standards By-laws, Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines, Condo Law and Tarion Warranties, Involvement in Restoration services including Preliminary Reviews and component Condition Assessments, Develops repair options with cost estimates on straight forward projects. Project Excellence: Review of deliverables to ensure they comply with client objectives. Responsible for preparation of reports and contract administration. Coordinates Client and Contractor relations for conflict resolution during conciliation periods. Participates in discussions and devises ways of reaching objectives in the most economical way and meets any unusual conditions affecting work progress. Client Management and Development: Strong client relationship management/development skills. Follow-up on requests and drive projects to completion. Answer emails immediately. Represents the company with clients on an ongoing basis. Continuously seeks feedback from clients and implements suggestions.
WHAT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES ARE REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE Knowledge Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Science, or Building Science; or Civil Engineering Technologist (CET). Experience within the consulting sector working in Multi-Residential Building Condition Assessments, Property Condition Assessments, Condominium Reserve Fund Studies, Condominium Performance Audits, and/or Capital Planning. Experience working on capital planning/building condition assessment projects on a variety of building types e.g. Multi-residential (Condominiums), Community Housing, Municipal Buildings, Commercial Offices, Recreational Facilities, etc Strong expertise in preparing capital planning and Building/Property Conditions Assessment reports.

Communication: Keep others appropriately informed. Show the ability to listen and understand; facilitate communication. Write & speak clearly, and concisely with confidence. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive Base Salary: Annual salary of $60,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
