About the role

Homes by Dream is looking for a Sales Host! We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving communities. Homes by Dream is currently looking for a part-time Sales Host to join our Calgary Sales Team. In this role you will meet and greet customers, ensuring that everyone who walks through the sales centre receives the Dream experience. In this position you will report to the Director of New Home Sales and be part of our internal sales team.

What will you do? Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

  • A first impression is so important. In this role you will create a welcoming atmosphere, greet potential clients and direct and monitor the flow of showhome traffic;
  • You will take client registrations and communicate them with the Area Sales Manager so they can follow up with them, and record daily traffic using Salesforce and LotFX;
  • You will answer telephone calls and direct inquires to the Area Sales Manager;
  • Provide information to clients on the community, product lines and Dream;
  • Assist with community signage, such as ensuring sold signs are put up and directional A-frames aren’t knocked down;
  • Maintain a clean and tidy sales center office and showhome (i.e., sweeping, vacuuming, taking out garbage as required), so the sales center and show home are always on-point.

What type of experience and skills do you have? These are only some of the things we'd like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet.

  • Sales or customer-service related experience, if you have experience within the home building or real estate industry that's a bonus!
  • Technically sound and enjoy working with Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, Outlook and Excel; and
  • Have a keen interest in sales and are looking to develop a career within the home sales industry.

What does working in a Sales Centre entail?

  • You will be required to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening to ensure that the sales centre is ready to open to the public for a punctual start, and to lock the sales centre and set alarms at the end of the day.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy sales centre office and ensure the showhome is always sparkling and looking it’s best.
  • Ensure that the sales centre is fully stocked with supplies such as marketing brochures, printer paper and ink, light bulbs, toilet paper, etc.
