Part-Time Leasing Assistant - Halifax/Dartmouth
About the role
Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.
We are currently looking for an energetic & results-oriented Leasing Assistant to join our Leasing Team in Halifax/Dartmouth. This position will consist of 25 hours per week and will include one weekend day.
What you will do:
- Field all leasing communication, by phone, text, email or in person;
- Perform showings;
- Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale;
- Manage advertisements of properties;
- Processing applications, prepare lease documents & arrange lease signings.
Who you are:
- 1-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service;
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- A flair for marketing and AI;
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Experience with posting ads on Kijiji, and working in Yardi considered an asset;
- Availability to work weekends;
- Must have own vehicle.
