Position Details

The Department of Political Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications from scholars of Political Science. This position is for an 8.5 month term Assistant Professor to begin on August 15, 2026, and end on April 30, 2027, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $79,132-$92,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in hand, although applicants who are very near completion of their Ph.D. may also be considered. The University of Lethbridge aspires to hire individuals who, depending upon their career stage, demonstrate considerable potential for excellence in teaching and research, or who have an established record of excellence in these areas. The successful candidate is also expected to be an active contributor to the life of the department.
