The Manitoba Public Service Commission leads the delivery of a wide range of strategic human resource services within government including: policy and program development, training and development, recruitment and selection, labour and employee relations, classification and compensation, strategic planning, supportive employment, which includes disability management and accommodations, and pay and benefits.

The Public Service Commission is seeking innovative, creative HR professionals with a passion for providing exceptional client service and the ability to support clients in a way that fosters innovation, enthusiasm and optimism.

Duties:

The Executive Recruiter builds relationships with top industry talent to fill leadership positions within the Manitoba government. In the role, they are responsible for building search strategies, using cross-government and industry relationships, and partnerships within outside sources to fulfill departmental needs. The Executive Recruiter will focus on effectively filling the top leadership positions by identifying and approaching industry-leading talent to fill niche senior-level roles. As well will act as the lead for senior level requisitions.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Post-secondary education in human resources; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience

  • Extensive recruiting experience delivering the end-to-end recruitment cycle and providing recommendations on recruitment-related matters for a broad range of roles including executive level positions

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, political acumen, and influence when advising on complex and sensitive HR issues

  • Effective interpersonal skills with experience establishing collaborative, client-focused relationships with diverse stakeholders

  • Demonstrated self-efficacy with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively achieve results while maintaining focus under pressure, and delivering timely, high-quality results in a dynamic environment

  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills to strategic solutions that support organizational objectives

Desired:

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in French is desired

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, additional security checks may be required for some positions
