The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated, team-oriented professional who values integrity, safety and the environment and strives to incorporate those values into their everyday achievements. As a specialist, contracts, you will be responsible for the life cycle of procurement, contract management and vendor management for contracted contingent workers.
In this role, you will:

Lead the development and formation of contingent worker contracts utilizing procurement best practices while ensuring contract development process and procedures are followed.

Liaise with internal legal counsel.

Collaborate with end users in determining sourcing strategies.
-
Evaluate proposals and perform contract conformance and execution in compliance with Cameco’s policies, standards and codes.

Utilize SAP Fieldglass to plan and execute RFQ processes, award contracts, and manage contract changes.

Be the first point of contact to provide support to internal end users and vendors on SAP Fieldglass processes and troubleshooting errors.

Create reports and analyse spend to support the Category Manager.
Required:
-
bachelor’s degree in commerce, law or engineering
-
five to eight years of relevant work experience, specifically in supply chain management
-
experience in negotiating, developing, and executing contracts for a variety of goods and services in a capital project environment
-
excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
-
equivalent combination of education and work experience considered; and
-
travel to Ontario and northern mine sites may be required.
Recommended:
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation; and
- previous experience with SAP Fieldglass.
