Role Summary:
Our BC Branch is looking for a BC Security Supervisor to oversee the day to day Security Operations for BC. This role will work out of our Burnaby Branch office Monday to Friday whenever the Supervisor is not in the field visiting our client sites. This position will also focus on customer satisfaction to ensure installation/service contracts are completed on time and in scope. We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, optimistic and skillful individual who has the ability to multitask and think strategically in-order to support branch business objectives, where Customer and TEAM approaches are paramount to success!
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support, and provide general oversight of the BC Security Operations team; monitor performance to ensure high productivity and effectiveness.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, ensuring clear communication of expectations and performance standards. Conduct regular team meetings and encourage open feedback. Support ongoing staff development through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
- Lead the selection and hiring process for new staff. Oversee onboarding and initial training to ensure employees are well-equipped to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
- Set goals and track team progress; address areas requiring improvement and celebrate team successes. Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Visit project sites as needed in order to plan optimal installation strategies
- Coordinate multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Supervise Commercial Technicians, Coordinators, Dispatchers, Inventory Control, in a unionized workplace along with overseeing subcontractors by reviewing their job performance, standards, verifying timesheets, expense reports, etc.
- Plan installation/service work in order to forecast and meet revenue commitments.
- Responsible for complying with and ensuring others follow company standards & procedures
- Follow established health & safety procedures; report all accidents and hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a technical/technologist program or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the installation/servicing of security alarm systems and/or a service related-field
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills along with experience in project management
- Effective communications skills (verbal, written, and presentations) with the ability to develop strong employee and customer relationships
- Excellent problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision in a progressive fast-paced environment
- Solid knowledge of PC based applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, MAS, Enterprise Resource Planning systems)

- Self-motivated; detail-oriented, with highly developed organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

The pay range for this role is (CAN)$ 80,000- $90,000
