Prototype Installer Analyst Architectural
About the role
POSITION DETAILS
We are looking for a skilled and detail-orientedCraftsmanto manage ourprototyping area, with a strong focus on the installation ofarchitectural wall and ceiling systems. This role bridges hands-on installation, technical understanding of drawings, and practical input into product engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling prototypes, documenting feedback and maintaining an organized and efficient prototyping workspace. This may also include the occasional visit to a project where our product is being installed (anywhere in CANADA or USA).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize, assemble and install, both wall and ceiling systems in the prototyping area at our facility
- Read, interpret, and work from architectural drawings, shop drawings and 3D models.
- Identify product design challenges and provide practical feedback to improve such things as: product appearance, part alignment, hardware usage, installation sequence, future maintenance access, etc..
- Support the prototyping process by identifying constructability issues pre-production.
- Develop step-by-step installation methodologies for new and existing products.
- Optimize installation time, labor requirements, and tool usage.
- Create installation guides, manuals, diagrams, and sequencing documentation.
- Coordinate with project management, design, engineering, and production teams
- Assist in planning and scheduling prototyping jobs.
- Organize and maintain the prototyping area, including racks, tools, materials, and inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment following 5S principles
- Occasionally support onsite at projects across North America with troubleshooting or training related to installation methods (Travel required on occasion)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven hands-on experience installing high-end architectural wall and/or ceiling systems (baffles, panels, custom elements, millwork, etc…)
- Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of installation sequencing, tolerances, finishing details and site constraints
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Computer skills for reviewing drawings, scheduling and writing up reports.
- Hands-on experience with tools, fasteners, and installation hardware.
- Ability to lift metal parts weighing up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with architectural cladding, interior wall systems, or ceiling system design.
- Background in prototyping, mock-ups, or product development environments
- Ability to suggest practical design or installation improvements based on field experience
- Experience organizing work areas, material storage, and job flow

VACANCY STATUS AND LOCATION
This vacancy is a new position at Maxxit System Inc.
This role will require 4 days per week on site at the Toronto office located at 1000 Martin Grove Rd, Toronto, Ontario, M9W 4V8.
COMPENSATION
The annual compensation range for this position is $60,000-$70,00 dependant upon experience.
