About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Coordinator, Human Resources will provide support in the coordination and administration of human resources (“HR”) activities for the Business Services group. This is an opportunity for an HR professional with strong interpersonal skills to join a dynamic team in a growth-oriented company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HR managers with talent management processes and initiatives, including onboarding, engagement, talent reviews, performance management, compensation planning, training and development.
  • Manage the processes associated with employee onboarding and offboarding, including onboarding logistics, orientation meetings and exit interviews.
  • Support with the annual Performance and Compensation Management processes.
  • Work closely with the HR Managers to provide support as needed on confidential human resources matters and special projects.
  • Prepare HR documentation including promotion/transfer letters, performance management documentation, compensation adjustments, HR communications, organizational charts, etc.
  • Produce and analyze dashboards and reports from the Human Resources Information System (HRIS);
  • Collaborate with HR services to ensure on-time updates and data integrity of HRIS through accurate data validation, error checking, and reconciliation processes.
  • Coordinates with the benefits, payroll and Talent acquisition team on employee data updates, benefits enrollment, payroll processing, and recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate with the HR team to answer inquiries from employees and managers regarding HR programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Advanced organizational skills coupled with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines effectively.

  • Ability to “roll-up” her/his sleeves and get involved at a detailed level to ensure that appropriate solutions are delivered in a timely way;

  • Strong analytical skills and focus on processes;

  • Ability to work autonomously, independently seek information, and provide solutions.

  • Ability to adapt to different styles and to develop cooperative relationships with employees at all levels in the organization;

  • Ability to communicate tactfully and exhibit a high level of discretion and sound judgment in dealing with confidential information;

  • Advanced Excel skills required;

  • Hold a University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or in a related field;

  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant work experience including experience with Human Resources Information Systems, data management, recruitment, onboarding and compensation management;

  • Advanced Excel skills required and experience working with HRIS Systems;

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English and French.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
