The GO Expansion Program team is collaborating with the Client Capital Projects Group to enhance the utilization of available access opportunities on rail corridors for all projects.
The Rail Access Utilization Analyst will be responsible for providing performance metrics and analysis on access utilization. This includes ensuring that control boards and digital Power BI dashboards are consistently maintained and updated based on user feedback, providing supporting data for performance management reviews. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to enhancing existing data sources and improving data quality across the business. The role will also involve client-facing responsibilities with project teams and the supply chain to address any performance or data-related questions and challenges.
- (Internal Title: Business System Configuration / Development II)
- Assist in creation of Power BI reports & dashboards
- Maintain and enhance existing Power BI dashboards and Excel reports
- Track performance against pre-agreed KPIs
- Support innovation by identifying digital solutions for existing manual processes
- Contribute to the integration, implementation, and administration of Project Management Information System tools including CM14, Primavera Unifier, Oracle Contract Manager, EcoSys, SharePoint, and ProjectWise
- Deliver timely and robust daily end-user support including logging bugs and errors and following up until they are resolved
- Create new content and bug fixes for software applications
- Conduct business analysis at varying levels of detail, appropriate to the phases of the project
- Create and maintain program reports utilizing tools, and produce quality dashboards and reports
- Provide report management support for contract management, change management, cost control, scheduling, and contract progress payments
- Maintain robust processes and procedures to allow for efficient workflow compliance with systems and standards
- Ensure data integrity across the data presentation layer
- Support the facilitation and documentation of design decisions as well as data and reporting standards
- Facilitate working sessions with users and management to identify and document current reporting systems, base and user populations, and current and planned initiatives impacting reporting
- Organize the development of key project deliverables and artifacts such as business requirements, functional design documents, fit and gap analyses, proposed data models, and report mock-ups
- Develop OBIEE analysis-based reports and dashboards for central and distributed users
- Collaborate with the data architecture and technical development team to ensure the creation of an efficient technical solution that meets all functional business needs
- Perform requirement elicitation to document the business requirements and work with the development team to identify alternative technology and solutions for implementation
- Uphold the accuracy of program data which is incorporated into reports
- Initiate product testing to ensure quality is maintained and that acceptance criteria of the provided solution are met
- Identify functional or operational gaps in the self-service products through competitive analysis, monitoring industry trends, and prioritizing customer requests
- Consult with the assigned Business System Configuration or Development III or higher to seek guidance and input during the key phases of a project
- Complete any tasks assigned by the Business System Configuration Development III or higher in an efficient and timely manner
Onsite at Client site: this role's work location is onsite with our client and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience with Power BI with a sound knowledge of all aspects and understands other complementary tools and applications such as Power Automate, Fabric, SharePoint and other applications in the Power Platform
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in PMIS Application, Implementation and Configuration
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management or Engineering
- Holding recognized Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, etc.)
- Proficient with ETL processes. Creates efficient queries and structures data appropriately for reporting
- Experienced in the use DAX to create context-based calculated measures
- Understands relational data modelling and is able to design and produce efficient schemas combining data from a range of sources
- Draws on experience to recommend best visuals, layouts and interactions to showcase the required data. Power
- BI reports are of high quality, adhering to best practices of user interface
- Works independently on projects or as part of a development team, being responsible for deliverables or to manage the end-to-end delivery of solutions. Capable of solving problems independently, drawing on support where appropriate
- Able to gather basic requirements and manage delivery, maintaining regular contact with stakeholders. Manages User Acceptance Testing and provides training and documentation
- Explores new techniques and technologies as part of innovating on projects, identifying new opportunities to deploy in support of team objectives
- A clear and concise communicator, speaking with confidence to colleagues, present content confidently, able to explore the pros and cons of different approaches, and make recommendations
- Communicates clearly with all stakeholders, providing updates on timeliness and quality of delivery. Collaborates well with others in the course of project work. Displays curiosity through experimentation and self-led learning

- Proficient in Data and Digital Management of large capital programs
- Skilled in managing multiple concurrent system implementation or integration projects
- Well-versed in Project Costing, Scheduling, Earned Value Performance Metrics, and Construction or Contract Administration
- Excellent knowledge of Project Management and Construction, Project Controls, and Contractor Management processes and application
- In-depth understanding of programming skills like DotNet, PL or SQL Packages, Java, and modern languages like Python and R
- Competent in Primavera Unifier, Primavera P6, and EcoSys
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
- Effective skills in Microsoft Office
- Equipped to work independently and as part of a team
