ABOUT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

Salary:$75,282.52 - $103,366.67
*The salary for this position is currently under review as part of AGLC’s broader Non‑Union Compensation review, which is intended to support alignment with market practices. Compensation details for this role may be adjusted following completion of the review.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking meaningful, hands-on cybersecurity work and the chance to make an impact from day one. In this role, you will gain exposure to real investigations and security risks while developing a strong understanding of how operational decisions influence the organization’s overall security posture. The variety of work provides opportunities to build skills across incident response, cloud security, identity protection, vulnerability management, and insider risk analysis. Strong performers can quickly distinguish themselves, with clear pathways to more advanced cybersecurity roles as their expertise grows.

This position provides front-line cybersecurity operations to help protect AGLC’s systems, applications, and cloud environments. The successful candidate will monitor and respond to security events and contribute directly to incident response and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, triaging, and analyzing security alerts across multiple security domains
  • Investigating endpoint, email, cloud, identity, and insider risk events
  • Supporting incident response activities, including containment, investigation, evidence collection, and documentation
  • Running vulnerability scans, validating results, and supporting remediation activities
  • Assisting with privileged access activities, identity-related reviews, and collaboration with governance partners
  • Contributing to improvements in detection, response processes, and small automation initiatives

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related work experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
  • Professional certifications are considered an asset, such as Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, GCIA, GCIH, or other relevant industry-recognized certifications.
  • Good understanding of network architecture, security controls, and enterprise security practices.
  • Experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Knowledge of enterprise endpoint security technologies and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud security architecture and operational security management.
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Strong investigative and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to independently manage time-critical security events.
