A growing North America Precious Metals Company, Discovery is committed to combining high-quality gold producing assets in Canada with the world’s largest silver development-stage projects in Mexico.

The Position The IT Support Analyst will be part of a growing Information Technology team, and will contribute to the overall Information Technology team with a focus on end user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 IT support for Toronto Corporate Office
- Proactively identify areas of improvement related to IT Support, and remediate as required
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
- Process and resolve end user tickets escalating tickets as required.
- Work closely with colleagues and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Support users through system updates and provide training and user manuals to users of new systems.
- Support technology requirements of the Corporate office, including voice and teleconference systems
- Establish and maintain contact with vendors for support and problem resolution.
- Keep up to date with technical and industry developments.
- Participate in ITSM process design adhering to ITIL standards
- Act as point of contact on behalf of the Corporate IT team for ITSM with operations of the Company
- As part of IT Infrastructure team, participate in projects and backend supporting infrastructure and systems, including Cloud and On-Premise
- Support Manager, IT Infrastructure in Azure, Active Directory management, development and implementation of AD architecture, OU and GPO design
- Ability to travel and cross train with site IT personnel
Skills And Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- A minimum 5 years of progressive IT support experience.
Workplace Conditions
- Corporate head office, located in Toronto, Ontario with occasional travel (Timmins and abroad).
- Attention to work issues in the evening or on the weekend.
