About the role
Reporting to the Director of Business Transformation, this position is responsible for leading and driving large-scale organizational changes aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
This position plays a key role in executing the organization's strategic plan, working closely with senior leaders to ensure successful delivery. They will focus on the design, development, and implementation of programs that enhance the organization’s ability to execute its strategy effectively. They will diagnose business problems and propose systemic solutions that impact people, processes, systems, and structures, acting as a trusted advisor on all change-related topics for designated business groups.
This role combines strategic execution, change management, and organizational development to ensure the successful transformation of the business.
The Senior Manager will typically have 1-3 direct reports.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and shape the Company’s long-term strategic direction.
- Conduct industry analysis, competitive research, and internal assessments to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
- Translate high-level business strategies into detailed, executable plans.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies and provide solutions to overcome barriers to successful implementation.
- Track performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of strategic initiatives and report progress to executive stakeholders.
- Drive large-scale transformation programs that impact multiple business units, driving improvements in organizational performance while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of Change or Project Managers, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure successful execution of transformation initiatives and continuous professional development.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and agility across the organization.
- Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions for the organization during periods of transformation and change.
- Provide leadership in change-related initiatives and guide teams through new processes, systems, or organizational shifts.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all aspects of transformation and strategic planning.
- Communicate vision, progress, and outcomes of strategic plans and transformation projects to executives, business units, and stakeholders.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and engagement across multiple levels of the organization.
- Participate fully in our organizational health and safety programs, adhering to all safe work practices and procedures and staying focused on continuous improvement. In addition, ensuring all Accident Prevention Program (APP’s) training, all Code of Business Conduct (CoBC) training, and all other Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training courses are completed on time.
- Timely completion of all administrative tasks including, but not limited to time reporting, expense reporting and submission of corporate card statements, as applicable.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required with five to seven years of experience in change management, business transformation, management consulting or similar. Three to five years of this experience in telecommunications is preferred.
- Post degree education such as an MBA would be an asset.
- Certification(s) in Project Management (PMP), Change Management (CCMP) and/or Process Improvement (i.e. Six Sigma) would be an asset.
- Proven track record leading large scale transformational projects, such as ERP implementations, mergers & acquisitions, shared services implementations all achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to craft long-term business strategies and align them with organizational goals.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Expertise in managing multiple complex projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in leading change initiatives and overcoming resistance to change.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of the elements of a health & safety program will be considered an asset.
NATURE AND SCOPE
The scope of this role is significant in terms of business impact. This is an influential role that will help company leadership define and articulate strategy, including risks and mitigations, identifying opportunities, and providing recommendations. This position will lead cross-functional teams and direct and oversee work by other teams to achieve transformational results.
TYPICAL CONTACTS
This position will be required to provide advice/recommendations, presentations, and updates to all levels of management. This position will be required to participate in team initiatives as well as lead other project teams, which may be cross functional.
External contacts include various supplies/vendors for business strategy insight and expertise as well as contract resourcing to add capacity where needed. Bell counterparts for projects involving inter-company collaboration.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires moderate periods of sustained mental concentration, either preparing for or presenting to managers/executives within the organization. The individual requires the ability to manage a variety of initiatives and concepts at one time, with regular interruptions.
