Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for Oilsands Sandblasters or Blasting Machine Operators to join their safety conscious team at CNRL Albian!
This is a 362 Teamsters Union position. Full rate at $35.81/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, debris and other built-up material from surfaces
- Set up and operate a blast pot, spray pump or similar equipment
- Filling blast pots, maintaining blasting equipment with repairs as needed
- Assist with painting, spray application or brush & roll as needed
- Problem solving in real time and trouble shooting various equipment
- Completes all required paperwork;
- Performing field level risk assessments;
- Attends daily safety meetings;
- Working as a part of a team with customers, coworkers & supervisors;
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean drivers abstract required; Class 3 would be an asset.

Minimum of 2-years working within abrasive blasting setting; Familiarity with mobile blast equipment, power tools, & safe operating procedures

Experience working in the oilsands an asset

Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day;

Able to work at heights, ability to work from JLG & crane with man basket is a must.

Valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates (will be required to provide proof prior to first day). Training can be arranged.

Working under minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.

Ability to work day & night shift on a 14/14 shift rotation.

Capable of working outside in various weather conditions.
