About the role
Overview:
Perform on-site or remote servicing, repair and/or installation of Mitel's MiVoice, MiCollab and MiContact Centre products. This position may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PC’s, and networking/wireless networking. Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serve as customer contact on technical and service related problems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide field service and customer care for the Canadian Field Service's clientele.
- Perform routine and emergency service calls and MAC work (moves, adds, changes).
- Perform software/hardware installations and upgrades on Mitel hardware and applications during regular and non-regular business hours.
- Provide technical expertise and site-specific knowledge to Sales team when required.
- Technical lead for installation of Mitel product & applications for direct clients, and dealers (Professional Services)
- Participate in on-call service coverage and work the necessary overtime to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of College or University program in Computing and IT technology or Telecommunications. May substitute with a minimum 4 to 6 years of related experience along with industry related certifications.
- Obtained or working towards CCNA, MCTS (or equivalent) certification.
- Certification and experience on Mitel's current suite of applications.
- Experience and excellent understanding of MS Active Directory (certification desired).
- Experience and excellent understanding of vmWare (minimum VTSP certification desired).
- Excellent understanding of Networking, LAN and TCP/IP and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of PRI, SIP trunking, IP trunking.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Mitel’s minimum insurance standards is required.
- A valid passport is required.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with unified messaging and unified communications (MS Teams; MiCollab).
- Experience with MS client and server OS.
