This role provides instructional support to instructors delivering academic courses in classroom, laboratory, or work‑integrated learning settings. The position involves direct interaction with students—individually or in groups—to supplement and reinforce theory delivered by program instructors. Duties may include supporting in‑lab activities, grading, providing remedial or tutorial assistance, and completing related administrative tasks. Work may be performed in person or online. Key Responsibilities Independently deliver in-lab technical lessons Evaluate student technical abilities using existing assessment tools Grade assignments using existing rubrics Independently supervise students Provide tutorial/remedial services to students Provide feedback to students Participate in transfer credit activities Set-up, adjust, calibrate, dismantle technical equipment Organize and distribute learning materials Invigilate exams Administrative duties Skills & Abilities Knowledge of program-related equipment Knowledge of program-related policies and procedures Knowledge of training methods, techniques, and practices Understanding of education delivery methods, practices and techniques Strong oral and written communication skills Qualifications Animal Health/Veterinary Technology Diploma Registered member with the ABVMA 5 years experience in industry, equivalences may be considered Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES). Remuneration Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
