About the role

As a Quality Control Technician (Mechanical), your main responsibilities will include performing mechanical inspections of items upon receipt, during production, during FAIs, as well as responding to any other inspection or investigation requests. You will also be responsible for inspecting finished products according to drawings or inspection plans.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of components and products using various measurement tools;
  • Document inspection results according to best documentation practices;
  • Conduct the final inspection step for finished products;
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defective items;
  • Handle material transactions in and out of the department;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the product quality management system.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, or any other related field;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control role or within a manufacturing environment;
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, keen observation skills, critical thinking, and teamwork;
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings.

Assets:

  • Experience in visual inspection (surface finish, microscope use);
  • Experience inspecting electronic boards (knowledge of IPC-A-610 standard);
  • Experience using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine);
  • Experience in a regulated environment (ISO 13485 – Medical).
