YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Senior Project Geologist, you will be part of the Geology Department at Agnico Eagle’s Macassa Mine site. Your main responsibilities will include, assisting with planning, implementing and managing a variety of geological projects and using your geological knowledge and experience to support team and departmental objectives. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Assist with planning, managing and advancing a variety of geological projects;
-
Assist with collection, management and interpretation of high-resolution core scanning data to improve our geological understanding of the local and regional geology;
-
Track and monitor related geology initiatives to ensure desired results are achieved and maximum value is attained;
-
Provide updates to the leadership team on on-going projects and develop presentations to share new findings with the Macassa team;
-
Geological data review and interpretation leading to the development of deposit to regional scale models, including lithological, alteration, structural and mineralization models;
-
Participate in the generation of exploration targets to aid in potential resource expansions;
-
Ensure industry best practices are followed;
-
Drive data integrity and operational excellence by executing, monitoring, and auditing QA/QC compliance according to industry standards;
-
Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must be a member of a Professional Association in a Canadian province or territory;
-
A minimum of 5 years of exploration and/or mine site experience;
-
Strong competency in exploratory data analysis, multivariate statistical analysis, and QA/QC of geological and geochemical data;
-
Background in applying machine learningbased modeling techniques alongside geological interpretation to improve data collection efficiency, refine exploration targets, and manage interpretive uncertainty;
-
Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, DHLogger/Fusion and Datamine is an asset;
-
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications;
-
Proficiency in English as the work will be done in collaboration with Agnico Eagle sites where the main language is English.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON
Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
