Reporting to the Manager, Medical Affairs, the Physician Workforce Assistant is the primary liaison for medical staff privileging at Covenant Health. The PWA engages with medical leadership and appointed medical staff to provide privileges to incumbents in relation to Covenant Health services and facilities. PWA's participate in recruitment activities, database management, reporting and medical leadership support. This role builds relationships with Covenant Health medical staff and key stakeholders to support the delivery of medical staff care in accordance with Covenant Health Mission, Vision and Values. This is a casual position located at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre. The successful candidate will: Have excellent communication skills with proven ability to articulate information clearly and concisely. Be a highly adaptable and resourceful individual with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Will have a proven ability to be a front-facing representative of Medical Affairs. Please note Classifications Under Review.

Description: The Clerk V performs advanced/specialized program support to a department or program. This role requires the application of specialized skills and/or inscope leadership for a small group of program staff within the department. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration. Previous experience in physician privileging. Prior experience working with physicians in an administrative capacity. Knowledge of hospital systems and organizational structures.
