About the role
Brockport Home Systems Ltd. is a leader in advanced off-site construction, transforming how homes are designed, manufactured, and built. Using H+ME Technology — adapted from innovative European systems — we integrate precision engineering, robotic manufacturing, and quality-controlled production to deliver superior building performance.
Operating from our 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, we produce floor, wall, and roof components with unmatched accuracy and efficiency. The result? Greater energy performance, fewer deficiencies, and consistently higher-quality homes. Automated. Integrated. Dedicated. That’s the future of homebuilding — and we’re building it every day.
All companies under the Great Gulf Group umbrella are united by one simple goal: the pursuit of greatness. It’s achieved every day through the passion and dedication of our people. If you’re excited to build meaningful solutions and make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Ensure preventative and/or emergency maintenance is performed on all equipment and machinery to keep the plant running without interruption. Champion plant safety and operability as the top priority throughout all maintenance activities. Take ownership of all routine mechanical maintenance for plant equipment and facilities. Coordinate all mechanical and electrical repairs that require outside contractors, managing vendors from initial contact through to completion. Plan and execute fabrication and/or repair of facilities and process fixtures as requested. Partner closely with production personnel to determine the most effective approach for maintenance activities that impact quality and production performance. Understand and execute all Preventative Maintenance (PM) requirements for all machinery — and look for ways to make them better. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across all maintenance activities and systems. Engage third-party contractors when warranted. Drive the successful installation of automated equipment — setting the bar for quality, cost targets, and business model alignment from day one. Be the go-to leader during equipment installation, keeping the process on track and timelines firmly on schedule. Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies across maintenance and engineering processes, turning good into great. Lead and evolve the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program, embedding a culture of proactive maintenance and operational excellence across the plant.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in controls engineering and PLC programming within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in PLC programming using Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation), Siemens, or equivalent platforms. Solid understanding of electrical systems, motor controls, and industrial automation principles. Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment issues in a production setting. Experience managing or supporting equipment installations and automation integration projects. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience with HMI/SCADA development and configuration (e.g., FactoryTalk, Ignition, WinCC). Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Profibus, or Modbus. Knowledge of the construction, modular building, or wood products manufacturing industry. Experience implementing or managing a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Preventative Maintenance (PM) program. Familiarity with applicable safety standards and regulations (ESA, CSA, OHSA).
