WCLC is looking for a visionary and business-minded Vice President, Information Technology to lead technology strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise resilience in a role that directly shapes the future of lottery across Western Canada.

Reporting to the President & CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the VP, Information Technology is a key enterprise leader who will guide major technology decisions, influence strategic direction, and help ensure WCLC is positioned for long-term success through thoughtful, values-based leadership in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Do

• Shape enterprise technology strategy in partnership with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, building alignment across the organization
• Lead digital transformation and enterprise platforms, including architecture and cybersecurity, with a focus on innovation, business value, and long-term capability
• Guide major technology investments, governance, and risk decisions with sound judgment, transparency, and integrity
• Strengthen technology service delivery and operational resilience, improving the organization’s ability to move with speed and accountability
• Lead cybersecurity, privacy, and business continuity programs to protect organizational assets and support enterprise resilience
• Serve as executive sponsor for WCLC’s strategic technology vendor relationship, ensuring strong governance, service performance, innovation alignment, and long-term value realization
• Build and lead a high-performing team where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. Provide leadership across Enterprise Architecture, Application Delivery, Infrastructure & Operations and Cyber Security & Governance fostering clarity, consistency and continuous improvement
• Support the Board of Directors with strategic insight and oversight on technology direction, cybersecurity, and major initiatives

What You Bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. An MBA or equivalent advanced education is considered an asset.
• Minimum of 10 years in information technology, digital transformation, or a related field
• Experience leading enterprise technology strategy, modernization, cybersecurity, and complex delivery portfolios
• Strong business and strategic acumen, with the ability to translate technology into enterprise value
• Credibility as an executive advisor who can influence decisions at the senior leadership and Board level
• A collaborative, people-centred leadership style, with demonstrated success building strong teams and fostering trust
• A mindset grounded in curiosity, accountability, and doing the right thing
• Experience in a regulated or similarly complex environment is an asset

WCLC is the non-profit organization authorized to manage, conduct, and operate lotteries – at retail and online – and other gaming-related activities for the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba as well as the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
