Senior Business Analyst – Capital Markets Technology (Contract)
📍 Hybrid | 12-Month Contract | Strong Potential for Permanent Hire Our client, a leading financial institution, is growing its Operational Technology team within Capital Markets and is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support strategic technology and business transformation initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for a Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets knowledge who has successfully delivered technology or transformation projects. While Product Control experience is highly desirable, we are equally interested in candidates with broader Capital Markets experience who understand financial products, business processes, and system implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Capital Markets business, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to deliver strategic initiatives. Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements. Lead stakeholder workshops and translate business needs into technology solutions. Support technology implementations, process improvements, and operational transformation initiatives. Prepare business requirements, process flows, user stories, functional specifications, and UAT documentation. Collaborate with Developers, QA, Product Owners, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Drive process improvements and support successful implementation of technology solutions.
Qualifications
5+ years of Business Analysis experience delivering technology or transformation projects. Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle, including one or more of Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Interest Rate Products, Credit Products, or Derivatives. Experience gathering business requirements and working closely with Technology teams. Proven experience supporting system implementations, business transformation, process improvement, or change initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills. Experience working in Agile environments is an asset.
Preferred Background
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: Product Control Capital Markets Operations Trade Support Middle Office Finance Technology Capital Markets Technology Market Risk Finance or Regulatory Change
Candidates with strong Capital Markets experience and a proven track record delivering Business Analysis and technology projects are encouraged to apply, even if their background is not exclusively in Product Control.
