Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Sales Representative – Paper & Board (Canada) at Pals International.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding our paper & board business in the U.S. market by developing new commercial opportunities and managing key customer relationships. This role focuses on connecting international mills with U.S. converters, printers, packaging manufacturers, and distributors while driving long-term sales growth.
Responsibilities
Develop and grow Pals International’s paper & board customer base in the Canada. Identify new business opportunities across folding boxboard (FBB), coated and uncoated paperboard, SBS, CUK, kraft board, and other specialty paperboard grades. Build and maintain relationships with converters, packaging manufacturers, printers, distributors, and key accounts. Execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share. Monitor market trends, pricing, mill capacity, and competitor activity. Collaborate closely with international suppliers and internal teams including logistics, finance, and operations. Lead commercial negotiations and secure long-term supply agreements. Represent Pals International at industry conferences and customer meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 7–10+ years of experience in paper & board, packaging, paper trading, or related commercial sales. Strong understanding of the Canadian paper & boardmarket and packaging industry. Existing relationships with converters, packaging manufacturers, distributors, or paper & board buyers are highly preferred. Proven success in business development and account management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
