POSITION SCOPE: The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for implementing Atikameksheng Anishnawbek’s approved learning framework and supporting the delivery of early learning and childcare programming. The position works with children ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years, supporting development across multiple age groups depending on program needs. The Early Childhood Educator addresses the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children through engaging, developmentally appropriate programming.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators Minimum three (3) years of experience working in early learning or childcare environments KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming aligned with the learning framework Supervise children in classroom, playground, and program environments to ensure safety and well-being Observe and monitor children’s health, behaviour, and development on an ongoing basis Support positive behaviour guidance and foster respectful interactions among children Engage children in activities that promote learning through play and exploration We offer attractive benefits, opportunities for advancement and an engaging work environment.
