Your Opportunity:
The Rural Administrator provides comprehensive administrative and program support to the Rural Family Medicine Residency Program Coordinators and Lead. This role supports resident onboarding and orientation, assessment distribution, program tracking, and general administrative functions for Family Medicine Postgraduate Residents. Support is provided across both the Lethbridge and Medicine Hat sites through close collaboration with local coordinators and program partners. Key partners include, but are not limited to, the University of Calgary Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), Professional Association of Residents of Alberta (PARA), Rural Health Professions Action Plan (RhPAP), Distributed Learning Rural Initiatives (DLRI), and Division clinical and administrative leadership. This temporary position supports a complex, multi-stakeholder academic training environment and requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

As an Administrative Support VI, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Training and Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience using virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom). Experience with survey and scheduling tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Doodle Poll or similar). Skills and Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a comparable administrative or project coordination role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated creativity, adaptability, and attention to detail in meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some previous experience in education, healthcare, or government settings, particularly in postgraduate medical education.
