About the role
Job Summary Provide skilled laboratory support for the fabrication, repair, and customization of dental prostheses and appliances. Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure accurate, high-quality restorations that meet clinical specifications. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Interpret dental prescriptions, impressions, and specifications to plan fabrication and repair processes. Fabricate, repair and adjust crowns, bridges, dentures, orthodontic appliances and other prosthetic devices using a variety of materials and techniques. Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, including casting, milling and CAD/CAM systems. Finish, polish, shade-match and quality check restorations to ensure fit, function and aesthetic standards are met. Maintain detailed case records, document procedures, and manage inventory of materials and supplies. Collaborate with dentists, prosthodontists and clinical staff to clarify specifications, make adjustments and resolve technical issues. Requirements Diploma or certificate in dental technology or equivalent post-secondary training. Previous experience in a dental laboratory or related dental technical environment. Practical knowledge of dental materials, prosthetic techniques and dental anatomy. Familiarity with CAD/CAM dental systems and dental laboratory software, or willingness to undertake training. Strong manual dexterity, visual acuity and attention to detail for intricate fabrication work. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow safety and infection control protocols.
