We’re looking for a Purchasing and Mill Stores Inventory Team Lead to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press which will make us the most modern mill in North America.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- An experienced purchasing professionalwho has achieved (or is working towards) their APICS, SCMP, CSCP, CPIMor equivalent designation**.**
- Proven experience maintaining inventory levels and operating supplies in asafety-sensitive, 24-hour manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills, combined with a can-do attitude.
- A good understanding ofEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably JD Edwards and Coupa, or a willingness to learn.
Your ideal workday will look something like this:

You lead the way in analyzing costs, selecting suppliers, and negotiating contracts, for the mill.

You lead your team to make sure parts, materials and services are procured on time, at the right price, and with the right quality, and quantity.

You accurately oversee material and operating supplies inventory, and take the 5,000ft level view with inventory analysis, as well as plan and execute your optimization plans.

You tap into your experience and support your team in finding creative solutions to meet business needs.

You are known as a trusted partner with the business and deliver great customer service.

Your working knowledge of the work order system enables you to keep kitting turning over.

Your understanding of Bill of Materials drives your purchasing and inventory planning.

You’re experienced in managing your team to ensure daily tasks are done efficiently and effectively.

You'll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience, plus an additional northern allowance. The expected base salary range for this position is $80,250 - $107,000 per year.

You'll earn an additional northern allowance on top of your base pay.
