- The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation required
- 3+ years of experience in analytical accounting or finance; public accounting experience is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a bias to action
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus
- Comfortable working on-site at our Downtown Toronto office (60 Adelaide St. E)
- Experience improving financial processes in a high-growth company
- Exposure to ERP system implementations or upgrades
What the job involves
- Clutch is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the full accounting cycle, including managing AR and AP operations, supporting bookkeeping activities, and assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, you will help build and improve financial processes, ensure strong internal controls, and promote a culture of financial accountability across the organization
- Guide and support the bookkeeping team through daily operations, reconciliations, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities
- Coordinate with finance team members to assist with budgeting, planning, and forecasting in partnership with Operations and senior management
- Analyze and report on financial and operational metrics
- Build and improve internal financial processes to enhance efficiency and maintain strong control standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders during the implementation of a new ERP system
