The Category Business Process Manager has a key role focused on enhancing the efficiency and coordination of Wolseley Canada’s corporate program operations. This position will focus on refining operational processes, enhancing corporate program governance, ensuring contract profitability, and defining effective tracking measures and tools. They are responsible for streamlining cross-department processes, fostering collaboration, and driving consistency through the development of project templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and consistent workflows.

They will work across teams to ensure our program management use is consistent and adheres to best practices. This role demands strong communication abilities, a keen eye for optimizing processes, a passion for creating efficient, collaborative workflows, and advanced proficiency in Enable and Iron Clad.

What you will do:

  • Corporate Program Governance: Develop and uphold program governance structures to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Contract Profitability & Analysis: Monitor and evaluate contract performance. Implement strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring compliance.
  • Tracking Measures and Tools: Create and implement robust tracking measures and tools to oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) across various contracts and projects.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of category management contracts, strategies and operational plans.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and execute opportunities to enhance business processes and operational efficiencies within the team and between stakeholder groups.
  • Reporting & Insights: Generate detailed reports on program governance, contract profitability, and tracking measures
  • Projects/Corporate Initiatives: Support ad-hoc reporting and various business initiatives for category management.
  • Communication: Internal and External stakeholders
  • Training/onboarding: Integrating new employees with necessary access, training and support Iron Clad, Enable, Syntax & Tableau.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business process management, project management, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently while overseeing day to day tasks
  • Proficiency in tracking and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with corporate program governance and contract obligation management
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Must be able to embrace change easily.
