Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) is offering aSponsored Education Pathwayfor individuals interested in becoming anMRI Technologist. The successful candidate(s) will receivetuition sponsorshipfor an approved MRI education program, with areturn-of-service commitment to KHSC following graduation.

This opportunity is designed to reduce financial barriers while creating a direct pathway into a high-demand, technology-driven career supporting advanced diagnostic imaging and patient care.

What the Sponsorship Includes

-Tuition sponsorshipfor a recognized MRI education program (details confirmed with the selected candidate(s) and school).

  • A supported pathway into KHSC’s MRI team, includingclinical learning exposure/mentorshipaligned to program requirements where applicable. -Employment opportunity following graduation, contingent on successful program completion and required registration/licensing.

**Note:**Sponsorship terms (e.g., funding method, withdrawal provisions, exact return-of-service duration) will be provided to shortlisted candidates as part of the selection process.

Your Future Role (Post-Graduation): MRI Technologist

Upon successful completion of the program and registration, you will be eligible to transition into an MRI Technologist role within KHSC’s MRI department, supporting imaging services across Kingston General Hospital and Breast Imaging Kingston.

MRI Technologists at KHSC perform a wide range of advanced imaging procedures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning while ensuring patient safety within the magnetic environment.

Typical role details (post-graduation):

-Rate of Pay:$36.84–$51.77/hour (per current posting range) -**Union:**OPSEU 4106 Central -**Sites:**Kingston General Hospital & Breast Imaging Kingston

Eligibility

Required:

  • Eligibility to apply to and enroll in a recognized/accredited MRI education program (proof of application or acceptance may be requested).
  • Ability to meet clinical placement requirements, including immunizations and other school/clinical site prerequisites.
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector check as required for clinical/hospital environments.

Preferred:

  • Completion of a Pre‑Health Sciences pathway or relevant post-secondary coursework.
