Job Information
As a Home Support Worker (HSW) with the Tlicho Community Services Agency, you will provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to clients of the Home Care Program in Whatì. You'll support people in maintaining their health, safety, comfort, and independence.
As an HSW, you will assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication support. You will monitor and report any changes in a client's condition to nursing staff and ensure the safe delivery of care based on established care plans. You'll also play a key role in supporting clients' emotional and social well-being through meaningful daily interaction and community connection.
This position requires the ability to work independently, respectfully engage with clients and families, and collaborate closely with nurses and other members of the health care team.
To be successful in this role, typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
- Successful completion of a Home Care Program or Personal Support Worker Program is required.
- Grade 12 required but equivalencies will be considered.
- A valid class five driver's license is required.
