We are looking for a Test Lead to join our growing team in Madison, WI United States!
Role Summary We are looking for a dynamic QE Lead with strong expertise in both functional testing and test automation to lead the quality engineering efforts for a core billing transformation program using the EIS Suite. The candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the QE strategy, managing test teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the QE strategy and execution for the EIS Billing implementation across multiple phases including migration, integration.
- Define and manage functional test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, and client stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Build and maintain automation test suites for UI, API, and data validation using industry-standard tools.
- Oversee test data management, environment setup, and test execution cycles.
- Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with insurance billing standards, financial accuracy, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and manage QE team members across onshore/offshore locations.
Experience Level
- 10+ years in QE/QA with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong US Insurance markets knowledge - Policy Lifecycle, Policy Admin systems, knowledge billing/lending modules.
- Strong experience with COTS products, especially Billing module.
- Deep understanding of insurance billing workflows, policy administration, and financial integrations.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
- Proficiency in SQL, data validation, and ETL testing.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or hands-on experience with Billing implementations.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
Must Have
- Lead the QE strategy and execution for the EIS Billing or other insurance billing systems implementation across multiple phases including migration, integration.
- Strong US Insurance markets knowledge - Policy Lifecycle, Policy Admin systems, knowledge billing/lending modules.
- Mentor and manage a team of at least 5 QE team members across onshore/offshore locations focused on Functional/Manual/Test Automation.
