About the role
The Equipment Operator provides specialized skilled heavy manual labour involving the use of operating specialized heavy motorized equipment. Additionally, the Equipment Operator may also be required to provide general help to the maintenance and cleaning team through carrying, organizing, and moving product within the warehouse.
You must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include skilled, heavy manual labour and equipment operation of a specialized nature which includes but is not limited to:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stackers to receive and organize product within venue inventory storage areas.
- Operator is required to exercise superior judgment when operating equipment / tools / machinery that possesses complex controls.
- Directing employees, as required, around work site and equipment, ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient workflow.
- Providing exceptional customer service to all guests in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Adhering to all safety and environmental programs and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Completing daily equipment checks.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years forklift and/or relative equipment experience.
- Highly skilled operation of unique machines involving complex controls and working to close tolerances.
- Recognizes the importance of safety, and proactively takes steps to ensure a safe working environment.
- Works well in teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Will be able to complete demanding physical tasks such as being able to bend, stand for long periods of time, maneuver stairs, along with lifting and carrying up to 50lbs of product.
- Exceptional guest service skills.
