About the role
The Physiotherapist is responsible for the provision of assessments, treatment interventions, program planning and implementation and discharge planning for patients admitted to the unit and discharge to any one of a number of appropriate resources as indicated
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in the treatment of patients with neurological impairments as well as care of the elderly patient
- Current knowledge in physiotherapy modalities for neurological population ie. Stroke
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work with and supervise Physiotherapy interns
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
