About the role
Dawn InfoTek Inc. is a professional IT consulting team that partners with major financial institutions, investment firms, and government sectors. We are seeking an Intermediate QA Analyst with strong experience in manual testing, defect management, and Agile collaboration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating application functionality, managing test cases in ALM, tracking defects in Jira, participating in defect triage discussions, and ensuring high-quality software releases across enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Design, create, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test scenarios using ALM. Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and integration testing. Log, track, and manage defects in Jira with detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence. Participate actively in defect triage meetings with development and product teams. Validate fixes and perform regression testing prior to releases. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams during sprint planning, grooming, and release activities. Analyze business and functional requirements to ensure complete test coverage. Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Support production validation and post-release testing activities. Utilize AI tools and modern QA technologies to improve testing efficiency and productivity. Required Skills & Qualifications 5–8 years of experience in Manual QA / Software Testing. Strong experience with ALM for test case management and test execution. Hands-on experience using Jira for defect tracking and reporting. Experience participating in defect triage calls and collaborating with development teams. Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively. Nice to Have Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or AI-based QA platforms. Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman. Familiarity with SQL queries and database validation. Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments. Education Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
