Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Cybersecurity Advisor to join our Process Systems & Software Business Unit in Calgary. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert and advisor, providing comprehensive cybersecurity services and solutions with a focus on operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS). You will drive business development, architect solutions, and help clients safeguard their critical infrastructure against evolving cybersecurity threats. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Systems and Software.

Role and Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial cybersecurity
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership during client engagements and sales presentations
- Support the proposal development process, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements and create competitive advantage
- Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture
- Architect and deliver OT/ICS cybersecurity solutions tailored to client needs
- Develop and implement security strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps aligned with standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISA/IEC 62443, and NERC CIP
- Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on mitigating vulnerabilities in industrial environments
- Advise and collaborate with customers and the company technical team on project scopes when needed, such as network segmentation, threat/risk assessments, incident response, and compliance management
- Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor and train internal teams on cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and best practices
- Build organizational capabilities by disseminating cybersecurity knowledge
- Strategic Alignment
- Align efforts with the company's cybersecurity business goals, ensuring projects and initiatives contribute to the company’s overarching strategy
- Provide input critical to technical and business direction, ensuring innovative and competitive solutions for customers
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related discipline, with proven expertise in solution architecture and project leadership
- Deep understanding of OT/ICS systems, architectures, protocols, and cybersecurity challenges
- Understanding of the Purdue model and effective zone separation
- Familiarity with industry standards (NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Passion for technology, working closely with customers and other team members
- Exceptional customer service practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and internal collaboration
- Successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments
- Entrepreneurial work ethic and excitement to embrace change in a rapidly evolving business
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others
- Willingness to travel; valid Class 5 driver's license required
