About the workplace

As the Coordinator, Community and Administration, you will provide essential administrative and communications support to advance the Living Wage BC program. You’ll collaborate closely with the Provincial Manager to manage communications and marketing, act as the primary contact for public and stakeholder inquiries, and oversee content across social media and the program website to drive engagement. You’ll also support employer certification processes, fundraising efforts, and ensure communications reflect Vancity’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. We’re looking for a proactive communicator and organized administrator who thrives in a dynamic, community-focused environment.

This is a permanent role reporting to the Managing Director, Living Wage, which can be fulfilled primarily from the 312 Main head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.

A typical day would involve:

  • Acting as point of contact for all email and phone enquiries from the public, workers, employers, elected officials and the media (communications toolkit provided)
  • Managing content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to increase engagement
  • Maintaining and updating the Living Wage BC website, including content development and Google Analytics monitoring
  • Supporting meeting administration including scheduling, document preparation, and minute-taking
  • Assisting with Living Wage Employer certification and recertification, including application management and employer communications
  • Supporting fundraising activities, including writing applications and invoicing employers
  • Ensuring communications are inclusive and aligned with Vancity’s Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion commitments

You Have:

  • A diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, administration, or community engagement roles
  • Experience working in community-based programs or non-profit sector is an asset
  • Experience managing social media platforms and website content
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and content performance tracking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to inclusive language
  • Experience supporting meetings and managing administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of fundraising processes and donor communications is an asset

The salary range for this role is $49,700 to $75,000 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
