About the role
Raylec Power Alberta is hiring a Trade Journeyperson Electrician or Electrical Apprentice (1st–4th year) to join our team on a large, long-term civil construction project. This full-time role involves installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of highway electrical systems across Alberta.

What you bring:
- Journeyperson Electrician certificate or enrollment in a registered electrical apprenticeship program (1st–4th year)
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Experience in shallow utility installation (asset)
- Willingness to work in extreme weather and night shifts as needed
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Experience with RBD/digger derrick and other heavy equipment (preferred)
- TCP certification, OFA levels I–III, and fall protection certification (preferred)
- Apprentices must show progress and commitment to advancing technical skills
This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to:
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Performing routine maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency
- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical diagrams
- Collaborating with team members to meet project timelines and budgets
- Adhering to safety protocols and providing excellent customer service
- Travel may be required
