Join our team! AGF is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor based in our Longueuil office. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Longueuil office.
Please note that this position will involve travel to our job sites and a weekly presence at our Longueuil office. Travel expenses will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.72/km for trips to job sites within the Greater Montreal area.

From the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge, the REM, the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Bridge-Tunnel, the condominium towers in downtown Montreal, arenas, hospitals, and beyond, our expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including institutional, industrial, civil engineering, commercial, and residential.
About the Role - Your main responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement programs, initiatives, and activities aligned with organizational objectives (risk analysis, compliance evaluations, etc.);
- Respond to information requests from managers and employees while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal regulations;
- Prepare materials and update KPIs to support managers in communicating key OHS messages;
- Support, influence, and mobilize operational managers in the application of regulations and standards as a strategic partner;
- Conduct field visits and interactions to ensure a culture of safety excellence in plants and on construction sites;
- Monitor activities within the sector and propose corrective measures to ensure objectives are met;
- Support managers in incident management through investigations, analysis animation, and follow-up on corrective actions;
- Perform OHS audits and inspections to ensure practices comply with established frequencies;
- Participate in the development and implementation of OHS programs, standards, and tools;
- Collaborate with managers and workers on temporary assignments and progressive returns to work;
- Manage temporary assignment files and advise managers on assignment types;
- Participate in the implementation of OHS indicators and statistics.
About You - The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the manufacturing or construction industry;
- Professional Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety;
- Possession of the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites certificate (ASP Construction card, an asset);
- Autonomy, initiative, and proactivity;
- Hold a valid driver’s license;
- Proven problem-solving, influence, and leadership skills.
