About the role

Title: Graphic & Multimedia Designer (*6 months contract*)

Reports To: Director, Culture & Office Services

Position Summary: The Graphic & Multimedia Designer role within the Internal Communications team supports the creation of visual and video materials for a variety of organizational initiatives and program launches. The position is responsible for producing infographics, branded graphics, and video content that align with established brand standards.

This role works closely with teams across the organization to develop both external-facing assets and internal communication materials, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design visually compelling infographics, reports, posters, and digital assets for initiatives and program launches.
  • Maintain and regularly update the company’s intranet page as needed, to ensure content, visuals, and resources remain current, accurate, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Create, edit, and produce video content, including filming (as needed), editing, and final delivery.
  • Ensure all creative outputs align with established brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams to manage priorities and timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premier Pro
  • 1-2 years proven experience as a Graphic Designer and/or Video Editor (portfolio required).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premier Pro required. Experience with other design applications is an asset (e.g. Canva, Figma).
  • Experience producing static and motion content, including filming and editing videos and streaming. Photography skills are considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of brand discipline and visual consistency, paired with a well‑developed eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling. Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Experience creating public‑facing reports with clear, well‑structured design and consistent application of brand guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in designing in Workiva, SharePoint, Mailchimp is an asset.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

  • Competitive Base Salary between $24/hr. - $33/hr.
  • Work Hours: Average of 22.5 hours per week with the potential to increase hours as required
  • Work Model : Hybrid (minimum 2 days a week in the office).
