Senior Accounting Officer - 1 FT
About the role
This position focuses on risk mitigation and accountability, by assisting the Controller and Director of Accounting Services to perform slot accounting, as well as prepare for month end (recording all financial transactions) in order to produce monthly financial statements.
Leading monthly site reconciliations with focus on accurate record of SIGA revenues, including slot-generated revenue, and other areas as required. Monitoring and reviewing activities to ensure the integrity of internal controls. Maintaining all related electronic and paper files and record systems. Assisting the Director of Accounting Services with staffing activities. Performing other accounting duties as required.
Professional accounting designation preferred, or close to completion, or equivalent education and work experience. Must have 1-3 years experience with full cycle accounting and bookkeeping in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment. Experience with Slot accounting. Experience with GST, WCB and other government remittance. Experience with auditing; month and year end reports. Experience with monitoring and reconciling multi accounts; and manage all aspects of compliance reports. Experience in coaching junior staff and regional site Finance Team as required.
