About the role

Job Description Number of Position(s): 1

Duration: 4 Months +

Date: May 4 - August 28th, 2026

Location: Hybrid in Ottawa, Ontario

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn As a part of our team, you will:

  • Create UX specifications for web-based applications.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Apply expert knowledge of user-centered design principles.
  • Provide creative and innovative problem-solving solutions.
  • Take initiative in design work and contribute both unaided and in a team, with strong teamwork skills.
  • Learn and apply the Nokia design system to drive consistency in the design you create.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor’s degree, or Diploma in User Experience Design, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
  • Experience working across disciplines with designers, engineers, developers, and product teams
  • A user-centric approach to experience design.
  • Experience with UX tools and skills such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Miro.
  • The ability to clearly communicate results and present suggestions creatively and compellingly.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your design methods and rationale behind your solutions.
  • Strong visual skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Professionalism with the ability to deliver quality work on tight schedules.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with design thinking and facilitating workshops & Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
